About the role
- Senior Data Engineer optimizing data pipelines for Scene+ loyalty program. Collaborating across teams to enhance data quality and governance in a cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities
- architect, maintain, and refine production-grade pipelines
- automate workflows end-to-end, proactively identify and resolve issues
- centralize data into Snowflake and transform it into analytics-ready structures
- design foundational tables, models, and workflows for analytics and data science teams
- work across cloud-native ecosystem including AWS, Snowflake, and Tableau Cloud
Requirements
- extensive experience as a senior data engineer working with large and complex datasets
- strong experience with Snowflake, Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Matillion experience is an asset but not required)
- understanding of data governance, best practices for documentation, observability, and data quality assurance
- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing scope, expectations, and timelines
- experience with GitHub branching strategies and conducting code reviews
