Responsibilities
Set up and operate a minimum of one production process, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment
Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards
Ensure the quality and quantity of work produced by the process
Monitor the production process according to the maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in a timely manner
Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment to assess quality
Follow and accurately record data in routers, IMS, and other production tracking systems
Train other operators as needed
Work in other departments or occasionally set up a process for others to operate
Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S in all areas
Requirements
Grade 12 diploma
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to read and interpret production prints
Adequate computer skills to access production procedures
Ability to set up and operate CNC or manually controlled equipment
Ability to perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot production/process issues
Ability to use precision measuring equipment for self-inspection
Ability to accurately record data in routers, IMS, and other production tracking systems
Must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check
Must be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Candidates on temporary work permits may require a Canadian government exemption to access export-controlled goods
