Responsibilities
Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, including CNC or manually controlled equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve production/process issues to meet required standards
Ensure the quality and quantity of work produced by the process
Monitor production processes according to the maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance
Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment
Record data in routers, IMS, and other production tracking systems
Train other operators as needed
Work in other departments or set up machines for others to operate when required
Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards
Requirements
Grade 12 diploma
Demonstrated competency as a Grinding Set Up Operator or equivalent machining background
Ability to read and interpret production prints
Adequate computer skills to access production procedures
Ability to use precision measuring equipment
Must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check
Must be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Candidates on temporary work permits require a Canadian government exemption for access to export-controlled goods
