About the role

  • Solutions Architect shaping cloud-native systems, AI engineering, and product roadmaps for Scopic’s global remote software company. Advising clients, executives, and engineering teams on technical strategy and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Share ownership of technical strategy, architectural standards, and engineering priorities
  • Own product and technical roadmaps for internal products
  • Apply a product lens to client projects and propose business-focused solutions
  • Design solution architectures for new client projects and internal products from discovery through delivery
  • Participate in sales and pre-sales conversations, scope projects, estimate effort, and translate business goals into technical plans
  • Review and challenge architecture decisions across teams
  • Address critical or high-risk technical problems hands-on
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, technology stacks, and AI adoption based on cost, risk, and ROI
  • Represent engineering with executives and client stakeholders, including C-level stakeholders
  • Mentor tech leads and senior engineers and improve code quality, security, and delivery practices

Requirements

  • 10+ years in software development, including at least 3 years in an architect, principal engineer, or tech lead role
  • Current hands-on coding ability, including reviewing pull requests and prototyping
  • Experience in AI-powered engineering, including AI in the SDLC, and understanding of latest AI/agents capabilities
  • Experience designing distributed, cloud native, scalable systems
  • Product ownership experience from problem definition through launch and iteration based on user feedback and metrics
  • Experience working directly with clients or executives on scope, budget, and technical trade-offs
  • Strong business judgment regarding technical impact on cost, timeline, and revenue
  • Experience estimating and scoping projects
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Experience working in a remote, distributed team
