About the role

  • Team Lead in Quality Assurance at Semios Group, focusing on quality and testing strategies for sustainable agriculture technology. Lead internal teams and mentoring while ensuring product reliability and comprehensive test coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Design an overall quality and testing strategy for Semios Group, including processes, implementation of standards, and a workforce plan to support priorities.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, product management, project management, and other team leads to shape and implement the testing strategy.
  • Participate in System Testing Architecture design and implementation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and measure testing-based KPIs for Engineering.
  • Advise and collaborate with developers in Engineering on how to best leverage and incorporate testing into their workflows.
  • Create and manage a diverse testing team (local/remote and internal/3rd party) by:
  • Participating in recruitment activities.
  • Overseeing 3rd party test providers.
  • Mentoring team members in problem-solving approaches, tools, and best practices.
  • Providing regular performance feedback to enable employee development and goal achievement.
  • Ensure a high level of operational excellence for Semios Group products through testing, including:
  • Web and mobile applications.
  • Firmware that runs on IoT Devices.
  • Data infrastructure supporting Data Analytics, Research, and data-driven Agriculture products.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership/management position.
  • Strong background in QA methodologies and testing practices
  • Experience leading QA teams in a fast-paced, agile environment, ideally with distributed or remote teams.
  • A track record of improving engineering processes and driving team success.
  • Experience mentoring team members in problem-solving approaches, tools, and best practices.
  • Providing regular performance feedback to enable employee development and goal achievement.
