About the role

  • Quality Assurance Analyst ensuring underwriting quality and compliance at SGI Canada. Analyzing trends, conducting audits, and collaborating with underwriting teams to improve quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the analysis and evaluation of underwriting quality
  • Conduct underwriting file reviews and broker quality audits
  • Analyze trends and quality gaps and prepare evidence-based findings and reporting inputs
  • Collaborate with Underwriting Operations, Corporate Underwriting, Training, Compliance, and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study
  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in quality assurance, audit, compliance, or business analytics within the P&C insurance industry
  • Advanced knowledge of underwriting principles, guidelines, authorities, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Ability to analyze underwriting quality data, identify systemic risks, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Advanced skill in developing complex analytical reports, dashboards, and summaries using Excel and related reporting tools
