About the role

  • Illustrator and Graphic Designer creating visual content for Springboard's Community Learning HUB. Collaborating with a team to develop digital illustrations, animations, and prototypes.

Responsibilities

  • Support with sketching, drawing and designing art concepts for HUB program content
  • Support with creating wireframes and prototype for HUB program content
  • Support with designing web graphics such as online banners, images, product landing pages and other graphic needs.
  • The successful applicant will gain experience in:
  • - Digital design and illustration processes for e-learning module creation
  • - Utilization of digital design tools such as photoshop, illustrator and Figma
  • - Adapting illustrations and graphics to different artistic styles
  • - Understanding and providing accurate design timelines for projects
  • - Task management through working on multiple projects at the same time
  • - Understanding digital production work flow through working with a diverse team of Designers, Developers, and Curriculum Writers
  • - Skill development in understanding digital production work flow through working with a diverse team of Designers, Developers, and Curriculum Writers

Requirements

  • Post Secondary Diploma/Certificates/Degrees in related field
  • Collaboration: You work well with others and contribute to shared goals. You support team members and participate in group creative projects.
  • Communication: You are able to share ideas clearly and listen to feedback from supervisors and team members, both verbally and through written communication.
  • Creativity & Innovation: You enjoy exploring new ideas and approaches to visual storytelling, illustration, and design, and are open to experimenting with different creative styles.
  • Digital Skills: You are interested in or familiar with using digital tools to create, edit, and share visual content (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms).
  • Problem-Solving: You are willing to think creatively to overcome design challenges, respond to feedback, and adjust your work to meet project needs.
  • Technical Skills: You are developing hands-on skills in illustration and graphic design, including layout, composition, branding basics, and use of design software
