About the role
- Electrical Engineering Summer Student assisting experienced practitioners in building engineering. Engaging in hands-on experience at Stantec's Calgary office.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of CAD and Revit drawings from sketches or mark-ups for buildings and non-buildings related projects
- Production of layout drawings for tender, construction, and record drawings
- Support of Project coordination, management, and working in a team-based environment
- Assistance to engineers and project designers transferring red lines to detailed drawings
- Project coordination includes interfacing with other disciplines
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Detail oriented team player who can work independently
- Demonstrated organization and planning skills and has the ability to work within tight deadlines
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or lighting software would be considered an asset
- Working toward a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar
