About the role
- Customer Performance Specialist/Electrical Engineer leading operational improvements in Electrical engineering. Provide support, manage projects, and collaborate with Facility Management teams at Johnson Controls.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support to our Facility Management teams with regards to engineering and project management
- Review drawings and site conditions to identify improvements to electrical equipment
- Support the development of standard and emergency operating procedures
- Develop Arc Flash studies and plans with our Facility Management teams
- Identify opportunities to improve the lifecycle of electrical equipment (ie: UPS, metering, generators, etc.)
- Oversee improvements, manage execution processes and support operations and maintenance across various operational sites.
- Interpret and review design drawings while coordinating with architects, engineers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on engineering/project management experience in Electrical with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with project design and management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, BIM) or similar tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Electrical systems, codes, and commissioning processes.
- Arc Flash Studies, Uninterruptible Power Systems, Emergency Generators, etc..
- Strong ability to develop project scopes, manage schedules, and control budgets.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams during startup and commissioning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong leadership and team-building aptitude, with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel domestically to project sites as needed.
- LEED accreditation or knowledge of sustainability best practices is desirable.
