Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall Enterprise Data Architecture Strategy and Roadmap
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year enterprise data architecture strategy aligned with business priorities and technology modernization
  • Govern enterprise data standards, patterns, and reference architectures
  • Lead the Data Architecture team and develop Directors, Architects, and Senior Consultants across geographies
  • Support Data and Analytics organizations in translating strategic requirements into scalable enterprise data architectures and information models
  • Define architecture standards for structured and unstructured data assets
  • Establish data foundations supporting enterprise AI capabilities
  • Drive adoption of enterprise data architecture standards and governance practices across regional organizations and business units
  • Align enterprise architecture strategy with data platform modernization and data transformation initiatives
  • Lead semantic architecture, metadata management, and knowledge discovery capabilities
  • Assess cloud and on-premise deployment decisions based on workload, latency, scalability, security, regulatory, and consumption requirements
  • Monitor technology, regulatory, privacy, compliance, retention, audit, and governance developments
  • Keep senior technology and data leadership informed of trends, opportunities, risks, and best practices
  • Foster collaboration across architecture, engineering, data science, analytics, platform, infrastructure, security, and business teams

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Information Architecture, Data Management, or related disciplines
  • Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture, information management, analytics platforms, and cloud-native data ecosystems
  • Experience defining and implementing enterprise-scale data strategies supporting business transformation
  • Ability to manage through influence in a complex global environment
  • Strong consulting, communication, organizational, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Expertise bridging business strategy, enterprise data architecture, analytics, and AI enablement
  • Strong experience with data warehousing, data lakes, lakehouse architectures, data products, metadata management, master and reference data management, data lineage, and data governance
  • Experience with Kafka, relational and NoSQL databases, graph and semantic technologies, and real-time data platforms
  • Experience supporting AI and machine learning initiatives through scalable data architecture and governance
  • Understanding of AI data requirements, model lifecycle considerations, AI governance, and responsible AI practices
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale cloud-native data solutions on AWS
  • Strong knowledge of AWS S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, SageMaker, Lake Formation, and CloudFormation
  • Azure cloud services experience considered an asset
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of architecture leadership experience focused on Enterprise Data Architecture strategy and implementation
  • Experience leading and managing Solution Architects in a matrixed organization
  • French and English bilingualism, oral and written, required for Quebec positions
