About the role
- Senior Software Quality Engineering Specialist responsible for quality assurance in an agile team at Sun Life Financial. Leading testing efforts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for analysis of complex business requirements and create test strategy/plan
- Design, develop detailed test cases covering functional requirements
- Execute manual and/or automated test cases to validate business application logic
- Collaborate within cross-functional agile team on shift-left testing
- Document and track product defects, providing detailed reproduction steps
- Champion and advocate automation and quality engineering best practices
Requirements
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant work experience leading large/complex multi-discipline initiatives
- Strong experience in execution of both manual and automated test cases
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and work collaboratively with cross functional team members
- Experience in functional, non-functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing of Mainframe and front-end applications
- Hands on automation experience in test automation frameworks and tools like Tosca, ReadyAPI, Python
- Solid level of proficiency in Excel and strong numerical analysis acumen
- Excellent communications skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to business partners
- CSTE certification (or equivalent) is an asset
