Industrial Services Technician supporting GFL Environmental’s waste - management operations across Ontario. Performing industrial cleaning, vacuum - truck assistance, confined - space work and heavy equipment operation.
About the role
- Pipeline Technician ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining natural gas transmission pipelines. Responsible for inspections, valve servicing, and supporting gas handling operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure facilities and personnel comply with TC Energy's safety, health, environment and risk standards
- Perform inspections related to valve servicing, troubleshooting and repair
- Assist with all aspects of pipeline isolation and gas handling
- Support various tasks associated with inline inspection
- Perform basic One Call line locates
- Assist with all types of Line Crossings (foreign or seismic) of TransCanada Pipe Assets
- Identify encroachment issues.
Requirements
- Journeyman certification in a trade or two years of post-secondary training
- 2 - 5 years related work experience
- 5 years relevant work experience related to Pipeline maintenance activities
- Experience with valve operation, inspection, maintenance and repair
- Experience operating and maintaining high pressure natural gas pipelines and/or facilities
- Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and/or SAP experience
- Excellent work safety record and a safe work attitude
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review
- Successfully complete a pre-employment medical screening, including drug and alcohol testing
- Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training will be required (estimated up 50% of work schedule)
- Be part of an on-call rotation and provide emergency support as required
- Be subject to working conditions which include adverse weather and temperatures
- Successfully complete pre-employment Credit, Civil and Criminal background checks
