About the role
- AI2 Applied Machine Learning Scientist Co-op/Intern at TD involved in interpreting data and producing insights. Duties include supporting machine learning model development and collaborating on analytics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Interpreting data, producing insights, creating data visualization reports, and recommending actions on complex issues to support business needs
- Performing Python/SQL data queries and supporting data sets for analysis/modeling, including cleaning data and feature engineering
- Analyzing large, spatially enabled data sets, identifying trends and insights
- Supporting team members and business partners to develop, test and deploy machine learning models
- Proactively identifying and solving business problems with data-driven solutions
- Collaborating with business partners to support analytics solutions
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in either a recognized undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Statistics, Business, Data Analytics, Business/Commerce or related field
- Strong statistical and analytical skills and interest
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, or other data-related programming languages
- Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming
- Knowledge in spatially enabled data, geospatial processing tools/platforms
- Knowledge in Azure, R, AWS, Databricks and Github is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively
