About the role

Associate Software Engineer developing end-to-end solutions for Merchant Solutions team at TD. Collaborating on technical solutions and ensuring application security within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

Work independently with minimum supervisor during the on-call shift to resolve the incident within SLA
Understand comprehensive application security testing; remediate vulnerabilities in source code to support secure software development
Work with the team to develop the end-to-end solutions required for engineering programs and projects within assigned area
Follow the SDLC and deploy the system into production using CI/CD pipeline
Implement monitoring for performance and reliability
Work with product managers and business teams to translate business problems into technical solutions
Partner with cloud engineers and DevOps teams for scalable deployment
Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Undergraduate degree, Postgraduate degree or Technical Certificate
Software programming experience
Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Python, Linux
Proficiency in GitHub
Work experience in Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres database
Knowledge of Tibco mailbox, container, Nginx, Redis, NodeJS, NPM, Maven, Nexus
Cloud certificate is preferred (Azure certificate and/or AWS certificate)
Knowledge/experience of AI technology is an asset
Understanding data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices
Strong problem solving and analytical thinking
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Collaboration in agile or cross-functional team environments
