About the role

  • TD senior credit manager leading commercial credit teams, complex portfolios, and risk decisions. Driving customer growth, compliance, and colleague development across Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, coach, and develop a team of Credit Analysts
  • Oversee the overall credit portfolio and ensure structured deals meet risk policies
  • Structure and package competitive credit solutions and complex deals
  • Drive customer and partner experience targets and profitable business growth
  • Resolve customer operational and credit issues and escalate significant risk matters
  • Develop relationships with internal and external partners and Centres of Influence
  • Assess credit applications and ensure high-quality risk assessment, credit structure, due diligence, and documentation
  • Review and approve credits within delegated limits and make recommendations on other applications
  • Monitor and control the portfolio in accordance with approved guidelines and operating procedures
  • Implement TD's credit and operational risk management strategy
  • Develop business plans, growth strategies, team targets, and long-term priorities
  • Build, retain, recruit, and develop a diverse, engaged, high-performing team
  • Foster colleague development, continuous learning, inclusion, collaboration, and psychological safety
  • Report generally to the Unit Leader and act as a strategic partner on portfolio management and profitability

Requirements

  • Undergraduate/Graduate degree and/or 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Credit management experience for moderate to highly complex commercial accounts
  • Knowledge of credit structuring, pricing, risk assessment, due diligence, and credit applications
  • Knowledge of TD risk management policies, credit appetite, regulatory and compliance guidelines
  • Knowledge of market, industry, and broader economic factors
  • Ability to oversee commercial credit analysts and customer service officers
  • Ability to manage portfolios, credit applications, delegated approvals, and operational risk
  • Ability to develop business plans, growth strategies, and long-term plans
  • Ability to manage employees in compliance with human resources policies and procedures
  • Ability to work in alignment with applicable provincial employment regulations
