About the role
- Heavy Equipment Technician maintaining highway maintenance equipment for Ledcor in various Alberta locations. Performing repairs, inspections, and engaging in safety procedures as part of the team.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of plows/sanding trucks, loaders, light support gear and heavy construction equipment
- Perform CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers
- Attend service calls in the field as required
- Follows manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures
- Engages and participates in Ledcor safety policies and procedures
- Complete maintenance records and documentation as required
Requirements
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (On-Road & Off Road) or a registered Apprentice
- Experience with heavy civil construction, highway paving, or highway maintenance equipment (e.g., snowplows) is an asset
- CVIP mechanic license is an asset
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Valid Driver’s License with the ability to provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
- Strong ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including those with sketches and diagrams
- Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
