Data Engineer supporting and evolving data environment in cloud migration. Maintain and optimize existing databases while designing modern data solutions with cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing SQL Server databases, ETL processes, and SSIS packages to ensure high availability and operational reliability
Design, develop, and maintain new scalable data pipelines in Fabric/cloud environments to support analytical and operational needs
Support migration of existing data solutions to Fabric, Azure, or other modern cloud platforms
Develop and optimize data models and storage solutions to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability, both on-premises and in the cloud
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all stages of the data lifecycle
Collaborate with analysts and software engineers to deliver solutions that meet business requirements
Monitor and troubleshoot data flows (on-premises and cloud) to ensure high availability and minimal downtime
Automate and standardize data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes in hybrid environments
Stay up to date with evolving data technologies and contribute to the data platform modernization strategy
Requirements
1+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
Excellent command of SQL and T-SQL, with hands-on experience managing SQL Server environments
Experience maintaining and developing SSIS packages and traditional ETL workflows
Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and performance optimization in on-premises and cloud environments
Understanding of best practices for data governance, security, and compliance
Experience working in agile, fast-paced environments
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work across both legacy and modern platforms
Advanced English (required)
Bilingualism (English and Canadian French) preferred
