About the role

  • Social Editor & Shooter producing social-first video for AntiSocial, a Toronto digital marketing agency. Shooting, editing, and delivering TikToks, Reels, campaigns, events, and branded content.

Responsibilities

  • Shoot and edit social-first content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging channels
  • Own content from capture through post-production, including shooting, editing, colour, sound, graphics, captions, and final delivery
  • Translate creative concepts, briefs, and social strategies into engaging visual content
  • Create quick-turn, platform-native edits
  • Capture people, products, events, environments, and cultural moments
  • Direct talent and subjects on set
  • Produce polished campaign content and lo-fi reactive social content
  • Adapt campaign assets into social-first edits and cutdowns
  • Collaborate with creative, strategy, social, production, account, and community teams
  • Contribute ideas for formats, treatments, transitions, hooks, storytelling, and content series
  • Track evolving social platforms, editing styles, visual trends, music, internet culture, and creator-led formats
  • Manage multiple projects and quick timelines
  • Help evolve the visual language of clients’ social channels
  • Mentor the team on production best practices and workflows

Requirements

  • Experience shooting and editing social, branded content, digital content, or similar work
  • A portfolio or reel that demonstrates strong shooting and editing skills
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social platforms
  • Excellent editing instincts, including pacing, storytelling, hooks, music, sound design, and transitions
  • Comfortable shooting with professional cameras, phones, and lightweight social production setups
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience with After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools is a plus
  • Strong eye for composition, lighting, framing, and visual storytelling
  • Comfortable directing people who may not be professional on-camera talent
  • Able to work quickly and independently while collaborating with a broader creative team
  • Comfortable working across different content styles, brands, industries, and audiences
  • Curious about social culture and evolving online content and storytelling
