About the role
- Bilingual Cruise Reservation Agent handling customer bookings, modifications, and sales for HIS Canada Travel, a Canadian travel company. Providing service and selling cruise packages remotely.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and calls in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
- Process bookings and reservation modifications accurately
- Assist customers throughout the booking process
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to call center KPIs
- Identify opportunities to promote products and services meeting customers’ needs
- Generate revenue toward overall objectives
- Provide excellent customer service
- Use active selling skills to close sales
- Stay current on products, services, promotions, procedures, and technology
- Identify and solve challenges
- Contribute to continuous departmental improvements
- Sell complete multi-destination packages and à la carte products
- Follow up on files with suppliers and travel agents
- Follow up on payments
- Create and follow up on sales reports
- Perform other related tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written)
- Excellent communication skills
- Travel/Tourism school diploma or equivalent related travel industry experience
- Up to and including one year of on-the-job experience and/or performing similar duties required
- OPC/TICO (an asset)
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Professionalism and patience
- Team player but able to work autonomously
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Capable of managing stress and respecting deadlines
- Excellent selling skills and results driven
- General knowledge in geography
- Knowledge of the travel industry

- Available for rotating shifts Monday-Friday 9:00am-8:00pm ET and Saturday 10:00am-4:00pm ET
- 37.5 hours per week
