About the role

  • Senior Navigation Engineer developing MEMS-based inertial measurement units to enhance global machine control systems at Trimble. Collaborating on high-precision solutions in a dynamic tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development and commercialization of new MEMS-based inertial measurement units from concept to real-world application.
  • Mastermind complex error modeling and simulation studies to enhance the performance of aided-Inertial Navigation Systems.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new capabilities for MEMS technologies in high-impact vehicle dynamic and vibration testing environments.
  • Design and optimize sophisticated positioning and pointing algorithms for both real-time and post-processing software suites.
  • Collaborate with elite product teams to define requirements and deliver high-precision solutions for global surveying and sensing.

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering with a focus on navigation or sensor technologies.
  • Proven expertise in C/C++, Java, Matlab, and Python for complex algorithms and software development.
  • Deep technical knowledge of MEMS inertial sensors and their specific integration into Machine Control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in highly agile environments using modern tools like Git and Atlassian.
  • Hands-on experience with rate tables and advanced lab instrumentation for sensor characterization (Bonus).
  • Prior success in system-level integration for mobile mapping or direct georeferencing solutions (Bonus).
