About the role

  • Mobile Service Technician diagnosing and repairing agricultural, turf, and construction equipment for Premier Equipment. Manage mobile service vehicle and communicate with customers about repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex on-site diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, turf, and compact construction equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and supports established in-vehicle GPS and Precision Ag Technologies.
  • Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents them on the work order.
  • Supports customer clinics.
  • May promote and sell Premier Equipment’s service programs directly to customers.
  • May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicle.
  • Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
  • Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Accounts for all time and materials used in performing assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience performing service repairs
  • Ability to perform complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs following technical manuals
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and support GPS and Precision Ag technologies
  • Proficient with Service Advisor and basic computer skills
  • Ability to operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment
  • Saturday rotation and on-call availability
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Preferred Advanced or Master Service Technician certification
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
  • Forklift license
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training
  • Experience with John Deere and competitive products.
