About the role

  • Talent Acquisition Coordinator supporting recruitment operations at the University of Alberta. Coordinating postings, hiring approvals, interviews, compliance, and Oracle Recruiting Cloud data integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end administrative coordination from requisition intake to offer generation
  • Ensure seamless hand-offs and compliance with collective agreements
  • Serve as primary contact for the Staff Service Centre, TAIR team, and hiring committees
  • Guide stakeholders on recruitment policy, advertising practices, ticket triage, and posting timelines
  • Develop and curate branded, inclusive job postings
  • Verify recruitment services and posting requests with hiring managers and HR Partners
  • Confirm hiring approvals and advise on posting and advertising options
  • Maintain accuracy in Oracle Recruiting Cloud, documentation verification, and retention
  • Support data integrity for metrics, reporting, and hiring-process compliance
  • Facilitate interview scheduling and preparation of materials
  • Provide professional support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to process refinements and system improvements to streamline workflows and improve candidate and hiring-manager experiences

Requirements

  • Certificate in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Human Resources and/or recruitment specialization is required
  • Additional experience is an asset
  • Direct Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) experience is strongly desired
  • Ability to learn complex business processes, interpret policies, and apply them consistently
  • Ability to manage high-volume tasks with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced spreadsheet and tracker skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and engage with a diverse, multicultural university community
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and work independently and within an integrated service team
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Adobe, and Oracle
  • Aptitude for learning new computer applications and enterprise systems
  • Understanding of relevant Canadian legislation, collective agreements, and HR handbooks is an asset
  • Experience in large, complex, unionized environments is an asset
  • French language proficiency is an asset but not required
