Quality Control Technician ensuring food products meet safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Conducting inspections, sample testing, and supporting compliance and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the QA Supervisor, Quality Control Technician 2 is responsible for ensuring food products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Sampling, inspecting, testing, releasing raw ingredients and finished products on the line
Finished Product sample collection
Assist with Hold/release procedures, monitor/verify FP sorting practices.
Accurate and timely completion of Quality related documentation
Monitor standards of cleanliness and general housekeeping according to established GMP standards during pre-ops, start-ups.
Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with HACCP plans, CCP verification, and monitor results and adjust as required.
Ongoing maintenance of laboratory including equipment cleaning and regular calibration.
Ongoing inspection and documentation of sanitation activities on the line
Work with other plant team members to identify and implement continuous improvement solutions
Assist in improvement, organization and efficiency of the QC & manufacturing departments through proper documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
1 – 2 years of experience in food processing or related industry
Relevant post-secondary educations/training
Have an in-depth knowledge of lab tests and methodology used in the food industry
Written & verbal communication skills
The proven ability to make & sustain effective interpersonal relationships
Demonstrated proficiency with MSOffice
Ability to operate effectively in a customer focused, fast-paced team environment
