About the role
- Cloud Developer working on scalable cloud infrastructure to enhance healthcare delivery through data-driven solutions at Verily. Collaborates with diverse teams to ensure infrastructure reliability and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design and Implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure using automation tools.
- Identify cloud infrastructure requirements, both functional and nonfunctional.
- Follow cloud architecture standards, policies, and guidelines to maintain consistency and reliability across teams and ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FedRAMP).
- Automate cloud infrastructure for Verily's suite of products on GCP as well as other cloud providers via Infrastructure as Code.
- Automate cloud operations strategy to ensure scalability, performance, security, and disaster recovery.
- Reduce toil of repetitive cloud operations by automating into self-service workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 2+ years of experience in public cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS
- 2+ years of experience in managing cloud through Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, etc. and through GitOps using GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Jenkins, etc.
- 1+ years of experience with programming & scripting languages like Go, Python, Shell, etc; and experience in implementing scalable, reliable and secure cloud network solutions for a variety of workloads
- 1+ years of experience in establishing observability systems to monitor production systems and leading incident management processes to attain high system availability (99.9% uptime or higher)
