About the role

Quality Assurance Engineer ensuring the reliability, performance, and quality of veritree's platform. Collaborating with teams to deliver a seamless user experience in climate tech solutions.

Responsibilities

Ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our platform across web and mobile applications.
Design and execute test strategies, identify defects, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.
Evolve and update our QA strategy covering functional, regression, and integration testing across web and mobile platforms.
Build and maintain automated test suites that reduce manual testing effort and accelerate release cycles.
Identify and document critical defects early in the development lifecycle.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms.
Collaborate with product and engineering to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality standards are met before release.
Track and report on test coverage, defect trends, and quality metrics.
Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
Troubleshoot issues and verify fixes with developers.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related testing role.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and defect lifecycle management.
Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
Experience using AI tools to enhance the QA process.
Skilled in writing clear, detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for finding edge cases.
Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate quality concerns and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of quality outcomes.
Passionate about sustainability, innovative technology, and creating positive impact.
Certifications like ISTQB or similar QA certifications are a plus.
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
Familiarity with mobile testing across iOS and Android platforms.
Exposure to geospatial, environmental, or data-heavy platforms.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira.
