About the role

  • Talent Acquisition Specialist leading full-cycle, high-volume recruitment for Voyago Transdev Ontario’s transportation operations in London. Partnering with leaders, marketing and operations to attract, select and onboard talent.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager
  • Attract and select top talent across all divisions
  • Partner with leaders to understand recruitment needs and define job requirements
  • Ensure alignment with company policies, processes and current legislation
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle through the Applicant Tracking System
  • Post all job opportunities and drive high-volume recruitment
  • Interview candidates, maintain accurate candidate databases and provide timely follow-up
  • Track and report recruitment metrics and progress, providing analytical insights to leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate with marketing on social media and advertising strategies to attract candidates
  • Support a positive new hire experience throughout onboarding and beyond
  • Gather, audit and manage required hiring and onboarding documentation
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding with Operations, Training and other teams
  • Build local community connections and partnerships to support recruitment
  • Streamline administrative tasks, improve processes and enhance recruitment outcomes
  • Recommend and implement creative approaches to attract new talent

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Recruitment or equivalent work experience; preference given to experience in a transportation environment
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Goal-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Enhanced organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • ADP software experience would be an asset
  • Very strong Microsoft Office experience, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment, including posting, screening, interviewing, job offer and onboarding
  • Ability to source candidates via multiple channels, including grassroots recruitment and social media
  • Creative approach to promoting job opportunities
  • Ability to travel as required throughout the Southwestern and Central Ontario regions
  • Sound knowledge of London, Ontario, and the Southwestern and Central Ontario regions
  • Clean driver's abstract and minimum full G licence
  • Clear criminal record search
  • Ability to build community connections in the region
  • Past experience with mass hiring in a short time frame would be a valuable asset
  • Availability to work on-site in the London office; this is not a remote position
