Responsibilities
- Work with a multi-functional team to create, evolve and maintain multiple products across the platform
- Manage the product roadmap and ensure priorities are aligned with Wattpad's broader strategy
- Be responsible for hitting goals in line with the Wattpad’s strategy
- Facilitate a strong product discovery process around understanding users, partners and stakeholder needs constantly validating hypotheses
- Work closely with our engineering teams to better define, implement and iterate on solutions together
- Seek to deeply understand how readers engage with the platform, clearly define and prioritize challenges and opportunities to ensure we are working on the right things at the right time
- Work closely with the product management team to ensure a cohesive and integrated product experience that meets the needs of our users, while supporting each other’s development across the practice
- Build strong relationships across the company to help solve problems together
Requirements
- At least 2-4 years of professional experience as a product manager
- Experience and understanding of technology systems
- Have strong product instincts about getting from a user pain point to an underlying problem
- Passion for the power of storytelling
- Excellent leadership and communications skills, with experience managing a variety of stakeholders
- Data-driven/analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks and prioritize them and work comfortably in forecasts and revenue predictions
- Natural curiosity with a thirst to validate assumptions with data, insight and peer discussions to inform yourself better
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Business, or UX Design an asset
