About the role
- Developing AI tooling platform at Wealthsimple to enhance developer productivity through shared AI resources. Shaping AI-assisted engineering practices across diverse programming environments.
Responsibilities
- Build the shared AI tooling platform from the ground up.
- Accelerate developer productivity through AI-powered automation.
- Design and implement guardrails that keep developers on the golden path.
- Drive measurable adoption across a polyglot engineering organization.
- Define the standards and practices for AI-assisted engineering at Wealthsimple.
- Champion engineering excellence and mentorship.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software development as part of a team, with meaningful experience in platform engineering, developer experience, or developer tooling, and a growing track record building AI-powered or LLM-driven systems.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI tooling.
- A product mindset for internal platforms.
- Technical versatility across a polyglot stack.
- Experience building governance, policy, or guardrail systems.
- Data-informed decision-making.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
