About the role
- Software Engineer for Wealthsimple's Machine Learning Platform, focusing on scalable ML tools and technical direction. Collaborate across teams to enhance machine learning applications and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders across different product domains, infrastructure to tackle technical problems at scale, which includes building framework agnostic services to support all of Wealthsimple’s machine learning needs.
- Establish roadmap and architecture for Wealthsimple’s Machine Learning platform
- Build highly performant scalable systems, contributing to our ML platform on Kubernetes, Bedrock and Sagemaker
- Work with a large amount of autonomy to set the technical direction for scalable projects.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience in ML infrastructure, ML tooling, or ML engineering
- Experience with Python in production environments
- Proven experience designing and implementing highly performant, scalable systems with strong observability
- Proven experience owning projects end-to-end and operating complex systems over the long term
- Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders (product, infra, applied ML)
- Experience with the ML ecosystem (e.g., PyTorch, Transformers, Ray, Kubeflow, Elasticsearch or other vector databases, Triton, CUDA, DVC, LangChain, Ollama)
