About the role

  • Field Sales Executive selling Shred-it document destruction services across Edmonton. Building pipelines, developing territory strategies, closing opportunities, and managing customer relationships for WM Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell document destruction services directly to customers by visiting them in person within the assigned area
  • Source, qualify, progress, and close self-originated opportunities while maintaining a healthy sales funnel
  • Develop and set specific, measurable monthly and annual sales targets with the District Sales Manager
  • Develop and maintain a sales strategy for the assigned territory
  • Maintain expertise in Shred-it services and competitive solutions
  • Generate leads through telephone and door-to-door cold-calling, appointment setting, and direct mail campaigns
  • Participate in sales and other training provided by Shred-it
  • Implement and demonstrate best practices for selling Shred-it solutions
  • Participate in special projects and promotional campaigns under the District Sales Manager
  • Report daily activities and sales results to the District Sales Manager
  • Follow security and safety policies and procedures
  • Liaise with customers and prospects to understand product and service requirements
  • Establish relationships with current and potential customers
  • Exceed customer expectations as a Helpful Expert
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities

Requirements

  • Post secondary education preferred
  • 1 year of previous sales experience or prospecting in business-to-business services
  • Experience involving varying sales cycles and multiple levels of decision makers
  • Must reside within the Edmonton, AB territory
  • Ability to perform customer visits, telephone and door-to-door cold-calling, appointment setting, and direct mail campaigns
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including computers, phones, and copy machines
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or access to federal property
  • Ability to follow company security and safety policies and procedures
