About the role
- Buyer managing sourcing, supplier negotiations, purchase orders, and inventory for XNRGY’s sustainable HVAC and liquid-cooling manufacturing systems. Supporting cost, quality, delivery, and production continuity.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities for assigned categories, from purchase order creation through delivery follow-up, ensuring accuracy of quantities, pricing, and timelines
- Identify and evaluate suppliers and sourcing options to meet business requirements for cost, quality, and availability
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers while identifying cost-reduction opportunities
- Participate in the negotiation, review, and follow-up of supplier agreements in accordance with company policies
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools, and practices to improve efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure material availability and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience managing purchase orders, supplier follow-up, and material procurement
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and identifying cost-reduction opportunities
- Experience with an ERP/MRP system; EPICOR experience is an asset
- Fluency in both French and English, written and verbal, to communicate with local and international suppliers and stakeholders outside Quebec
