- Business Systems Analyst V role supporting regulatory changes and implementation projects at a major bank. Requires 3-5 years BSA experience in insurance with Agile methodology and rating engine knowledge.
Responsibilities
- This role is critical in supporting regulatory and base rate change requests while driving implementation projects within one of Canada's leading financial institutions. You'll collaborate with business partners, technology teams, and stakeholders to develop clear, comprehensive system requirements and ensure seamless integration across enterprise systems.
Requirements
- Candidate Profile: Education: Computer Science or related field. Experience: 3–5 years as a Business Systems Analyst, ideally in insurance. Industry Background: Financial services required. Must-Have Skills: 3+ years BSA experience in insurance (personal lines: auto, residential). Agile methodology (Scrum/SAFe). Insurance rating experience (rating engines/models). Strong Excel skills for actuarial sheet validation. XML, APIs, SQL proficiency. Ability to design/support rating algorithms. Nice-to-Have Skills: Guidewire or other policy administration systems. Commercial insurance product exposure. Advanced rating engines and actuarial configurations. Underwriting/Pricing team collaboration. SAFe Agile experience beyond basics.
