About the role
- FinOps Data Analyst needed for 12-month contract in Toronto. Analyze cloud spend, build dashboards, and identify savings opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze cloud and technology spend, billing, usage and consumption; reconcile vendor billing against financial and operational data; identify cost drivers, anomalies, trends and savings opportunities; support cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis; analyze cloud spend and identify opportunities for cost optimization; work with large datasets from multiple vendors and systems; build dashboards and reporting around spend, consumption and forecasts; partner with Finance, Technology, Procurement and Vendor Management.
Requirements
- Experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, Technology Financial Management or Data/Cost Analytics; Strong SQL + Advanced Excel; Experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP billing and consumption data; Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, Snowflake or similar tools; Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills; Experience working with large, complex datasets; Ability to identify trends, anomalies and underlying cost drivers.
