- Lead architecture discussions with Scotiabank’s application solution architects and security teams to define infrastructure strategies, with a strong focus on database platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), middleware technologies (e.g., WebSphere, Kafka, MQ, API gateways), application servers (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat), and message brokers (e.g., IBM MQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure architecture, including hybrid cloud and on-premise environments; proven ability to design scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions; strong understanding of infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational best practices; 5+ years of experience in enterprise database architecture including relational and cloud-native databases; expertise in database high availability, disaster recovery, replication, and performance tuning; experience with database modernization, migration strategies, and cloud adoption; 5+ years of experience designing and implementing middleware platforms such as Red Hat JBOSS, WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar; deep knowledge of middleware integration patterns, service orchestration, and message queuing systems; experience with API gateways, service mesh, and container-based middleware deployment.
