About the role
- Lead Consultant/SME for UKG UltiPro/WFM payroll & timekeeping systems. Manages payroll operations, integrations, vendor files, compliance in Calgary.
Responsibilities
- System Leadership: Own UltiPro (Payroll, HRIS) and WFM Timekeeping platforms. Manage the end-to-end payroll and time data lifecycle. Evaluate new system releases, enhancements, and upgrades. Integration Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Support integrations between Oracle HCM and UltiPro. Perform root cause analysis on failed transactions and sync errors. Resolve timekeeping and payroll feed issues. Payroll File Processing & Vendor Integrations: Manage inbound/outbound vendor files for benefits and payroll processing. Work with vendors like Fidelity Investments, Mercer, and HealthEquity. Handle arrears imports and payroll file exports after each pay cycle. Audit & Financial Controls: Manage payroll control totals and reconciliation. Support SOC audits and compliance documentation. Conduct month-end GL analysis and variance checks. Year-End Compliance: Support W-2 validation, printing, and electronic distribution. Manage year-end payroll updates and tax compliance.
Requirements
- Required Skills: Strong experience with UKG UltiPro Payroll and WFM. Experience with HRIS integrations and troubleshooting. Payroll file processing, reconciliation, and vendor management. Knowledge of SFTP/FTP file transfers, Excel/CSV data handling. Strong understanding of payroll tax compliance and GL mapping. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent communication across HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams. Ability to work independently and lead critical payroll processes.
