- We're hiring a Linux Desktop Support Engineer in North York, ON (hybrid). Requires strong Linux admin, troubleshooting, and container experience.
Responsibilities
- We are hiring a Linux Desktop Support Engineer. The role involves supporting Linux desktops, laptops, and physical workstations, managing patch rollouts and security updates, and troubleshooting hardware, drivers, applications, and endpoint issues.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Linux Administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience supporting Linux desktops, laptops, and physical workstations. Experience with Linux patch management, patch rollouts, upgrades, and security updates. Experience with RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky Linux, or similar distributions. Experience supporting Linux environments with Docker, Podman, or other container technologies. Strong knowledge of Linux networking, filesystems, permissions, processes, and system services. Experience with Bash/Shell scripting and automation. Strong troubleshooting experience across hardware, drivers, applications, and endpoint issues.
