About the role
- Machine Learning Engineer needed for contract role in Toronto. Design, develop, and deploy ML models using deep learning frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models. Analyze datasets to identify patterns, translate business objectives into ML solutions, conduct experiments, implement algorithms, perform data preprocessing, evaluate algorithms, monitor model performance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage resources.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with machine learning concepts and algorithms; expertise in NLP including transformer-based models such as BERT; experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch; proficiency in Python with NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn; experience in data preprocessing, tokenization, word embeddings; model tuning and optimization; understanding of transfer learning; defining validation strategies; strong foundation in statistics and computer science; experience with large public datasets; familiarity with deploying models in production; knowledge of MLOps practices.
