About the role
- Hiring SQL Data Developer for contract role in Toronto (Hybrid). Requires 5+ years experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS/DTS, ETL processes, and data transformation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and design data pipelines. Develop data preprocessing, parsing, and transformation solutions. Work with MS SQL Server to build stored procedures, functions, and ETL processes. Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support QA/integration testing. Debug end-to-end workflows and resolve production issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support offshore coordination. Mentor junior developers and contribute to architecture and standards.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in MS SQL Server, RDBMS, and advanced SQL. Hands-on experience with SSIS/DTS and data transformation. Experience with VB.NET scripting. Proficiency in handling XML, CSV, fixed-length, and delimited data formats. Knowledge of GitLab, CI/CD, and Artifactory. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Banking/Financial domain experience (Statements, Taxes, Cheque Processing) is nice to have. Experience working with offshore teams is nice to have.
