About the role
- Independent Fiserv DNA developer and integration consultant supporting Canadian credit unions and financial institutions. Connecting core banking with digital banking, lending, CRM, payments and third-party systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and support integrations between Fiserv DNA and third-party applications
- Work with DNA APIs and integration interfaces, including DNAconnect, DNA Core API transactions and/or Communicator Open
- Translate banking requirements into technical designs, interface specifications and data mappings
- Implement authentication, authorization, validation, error handling, retries, duplicate-request handling and transaction reconciliation
- Develop or enhance DNAapps using DNAcreator where required
- Create automated integration tests and support end-to-end, regression and business acceptance testing
- Diagnose integration issues across DNA, middleware and connected systems with client teams and vendors
- Support releases, upgrades, production readiness and technical handover
- Document dependencies, platform constraints and operational support procedures
- Independently assess DNA integration requirements, identify interfaces and dependencies, and deliver secure, tested and supportable solutions
- Work across financial institutions, Fiserv and other technology partners
- Submit a résumé and cover letter including DNA experience, APIs and tools, project examples, technical stack and availability
Requirements
- Demonstrable, hands-on development or integration experience with Fiserv DNA
- Direct experience using DNA APIs or integration interfaces, including the ability to explain specific products, transactions and tools used
- Experience delivering or supporting at least one DNA-related solution in a production financial-services environment
- Strong software development skills in the languages and frameworks used in DNA engagements; applicants should identify their stack
- Experience with API integration, structured data formats, database queries and troubleshooting across connected systems
- Understanding of banking concepts such as members/customers, accounts, deposits, lending, balances and transactions
- Experience building secure, reliable integrations involving sensitive financial information
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams and vendor specialists
- Based in Canada and able to provide services as an independent contractor
- Experience supporting Canadian credit unions is an asset
- DNAcreator, DNAapps or Fiserv AppMarket development and validation experience is an asset
- Experience with multiple DNA versions, upgrades or core banking conversions is an asset
- Integration experience involving digital banking, loan origination, CRM, payments or reporting platforms is an asset
- C#/.NET, SQL, Oracle/PLSQL, middleware, cloud platforms or CI/CD experience relevant to previous DNA work is an asset
- Previous delivery experience with Fiserv, a credit union, a core banking service provider or a systems integrator is an asset
