About the role

Associate Data Scientist building predictive models and AI applications for AlgaeCal’s clinically-backed natural bone-loss solution. Transforming data into strategies that improve efficiency, sales, and profitability.

Responsibilities

Decode data, predict future outcomes, and turn analysis into action
Build predictive models and optimize AI applications
Uncover hidden patterns and validate hypotheses
Embed machine learning models into real-world AI applications
Translate data into actionable insights that drive business decisions
Write efficient SQL queries and optimize relational data structures
Work with large datasets and ensure data is organized, accessible, and ready for analysis
Select and apply appropriate machine learning approaches, including regression, clustering, and neural networks
Design, maintain, and optimize scalable data warehouse solutions
Standardize and improve data models, schemas, and data architectures
Identify trends, outliers, opportunities, and anomalies
Leverage AI and machine learning to improve efficiency, sales, and profitability
Contribute to AlgaeCal's mission to address bone loss through its clinically-backed natural solution

Experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, with demonstrated measurable results
Experience building predictive models, optimizing AI applications, and refining data architectures
Serious coding skills in Python or R
Experience with statistical modeling and data science tools
Expertise in SQL and relational databases
Experience working with large datasets and optimizing data structures
Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, including regression, clustering, and neural networks
Hands-on experience with data warehouses such as BigQuery or similar
Experience designing, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data storage solutions
Experience standardizing and improving data models, schemas, and architectures
Strong attention to detail, including identifying trends, outliers, opportunities, and anomalies
Strategic and entrepreneurial approach to using data, AI, and machine learning to create business value
Humble, hungry to learn, and people smart; a great teammate
Experience in consumer packaged goods, e-commerce, or the health/supplement industry is a plus
