Data Architecture Advisor designing robust data management solutions. Involved in data integration, analytics, and architecture implementation for diverse business sectors.
Responsibilities
Design robust, scalable and secure solutions for data management, storage and mining;
Develop conceptual, logical and physical models tailored to business needs and technical constraints;
Supervise or design integration flows (ETL/ELT), data pipelines and orchestration mechanisms;
Participate in the implementation of data quality, security, cataloguing and traceability policies;
Monitor technological developments and propose technologies suited to the organization’s ecosystem;
Produce and maintain technical and functional documentation for data solutions;
Provide technical support and coaching to developers, analysts or data engineering specialists, depending on the team structure;
Ensure data governance and regulatory compliance by integrating legal requirements (e.g., Law 25, GDPR, ISO) and promoting transparency, quality and accountability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
Certification in a relevant technology (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.);
8 years of IT experience, including 2 to 3 large-scale projects delivered as a data architecture advisor;
Experience in ETL/ELT, data virtualisation, architecture design, and the implementation of data lakes and data integration solutions;
Experience with several technologies in the following categories:
Data governance tools: Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica Axon.
Proficiency in one of the following cloud environments:
Azure (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory [Fabric]);
AWS (Redshift, S3, Lake Formation, Databricks, SageMaker);
GCP (asset).
Strong leadership, initiative, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
Extra edge: Experience or interest in machine learning or data science.
Language skills: French: Proficient, English: Proficient.
