About the role

  • Allstate Canada claims manager leading FNOL and customer service teams. Overseeing Auto and Property claims operations, coaching representatives, and improving customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Claim Service Representatives handling First Notice of Loss (FNOL) and customer inquiry calls
  • Maximize results and deliver on the customer experience
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for Auto and Property customers
  • Collaborate strategically with Director and Senior Manager levels
  • Provide, maintain, and monitor user service levels
  • Ensure workload is evenly distributed among the team
  • Lead team huddles
  • Conduct coaching, sit-alongs, and oversight on call/file quality
  • Manage Performance Development Plans and Performance Management
  • Plan salaries for direct reports
  • Manage and resolve escalated customer communications, concerns, and conflicts
  • Review key metrics, operational reports, telephony metrics, and Quality Assurance results
  • Initiate plans to improve claims processes and the customer experience
  • Lead change management discussions and ensure consistency in messaging
  • Participate in industry committees
  • Identify areas of improvement and provide solutions

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of related experience
  • Knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation
  • Knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, liability, and applicable legal compliance standards
  • Analytical procedures to reconcile, manipulate, and recognize patterns of data
  • Problem-solving and preparation of complex reports for analysis
  • Knowledge of Auto and Property Insurance
  • Advanced conflict management and problem resolution skills in managing internal and external customer relationships
  • Change Management experience in driving results
  • CIP or working towards CIP designation
