- Associate Veterinarian providing racetrack and sports medicine at Manitoba’s premier equine medical facility. Supporting diverse equine caseloads within a full-service hospital and specialist team.
Responsibilities
- Provide equine veterinary care with a focus on racetrack medicine and sports medicine
- Support Elder’s Equine’s diverse and growing caseload
- Deliver personalized, compassionate, and cutting-edge equine medical services
- Work within a five-doctor team including specialists in equine surgery and anesthesiology
- Provide care in a full-service equine medical, advanced imaging, and surgical referral centre
- Use advanced diagnostic, surgical, rehabilitation, and reproduction facilities and equipment
- Participate in a shared on-call schedule
- Collaborate with colleagues and specialists through exchange groups and continuing education events
Requirements
- Skilled Associate Veterinarian
- Focus or interest in racetrack medicine and sports medicine
- Experience in all facets of equine medicine
- Ability to support a diverse and growing caseload
- French fluency for foreign candidates seeking the Francophone mobility work permit
- Professional veterinary licensing requirements applicable to the role
