About the role
- Fellowship supporting mid-career scholars whose work advances Canada’s engagement with the Indo-Pacific. Proposing research in areas like Economic Security, Technology, and Indo-Pacific Geopolitics.
Responsibilities
- Support mid-career scholars advancing understanding of Canada’s engagement with the Indo-Pacific
- Propose research in Economic Security and Trade, Technology and Innovation, Indo-Pacific Geopolitics, Defence Industry, Arctic and Northeast Asia Security
- Participate in closed-door briefing and present at symposium
Requirements
- Open to Canadian citizens/permanent residents and U.S. citizens/permanent residents
- 7–15 years post-PhD (or equivalent policy experience)
- Political science, economics, public policy, law, business, security studies, or related fields
- Willingness to participate in public-facing events, media, and collaborative cohort activities
Benefits
- Grant: CAD 25,000 (disbursed in two instalments)
- Research platform: Publication support from APF Canada for a flagship paper and two policy briefs/op-eds
