About the role

  • District Credit Manager overseeing credit, collections, and financial analysis in Ontario and Western Canada. Collaborating with teams to ensure compliance and effective credit decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee credit and collection operations within an assigned territory
  • Ensure timely and effective credit decisions and account resolution
  • Conduct credit investigations and perform underwriting analysis
  • Interpret financial data to establish credit limits and mitigate risk
  • Monitor aging accounts and supervise collection efforts
  • Ensure compliance with lien and bond laws
  • Collaborate with sales and district management to resolve disputes
  • Lead and motivate a credit team
  • Facilitate agency placements and recommend write-offs or legal action
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement through reporting and analysis

Requirements

  • 5+ years in the credit & collection field, construction industry preferred
  • Analytical financial skills
  • Bilingual in French preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Organizational, Prioritization, and Time Management skills
  • Ability to handle stress successfully and multi-task
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
  • Computer software skills (Windows, Office, Excel)
  • Interpersonal skills and conflict resolution
  • Understanding of KPI’s and performance metrics
  • Ability to work as a team
