About the role

Responsibilities
- Assist team members with the planning and execution of environmental projects
- Perform fieldwork, including data collection, assisting specialists, and documenting contractors’ work
- Primarily perform work in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and the Eeyou Istchee James Bay territory
- Conduct characterization activities, including drilling, test pits, and monitoring wells
- Sample soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water
- Monitor excavation and environmental site remediation work
- Conduct environmental investigations and prepare site reports
Requirements
- Hold a college diploma (DEC) in environmental studies or an equivalent qualification
- Have more than five years of experience in soil and water characterization and remediation
- Knowledge of environmental requirements, particularly the Environment Quality Act and the Mining Act, is an asset
- Enjoy working as part of a team, communicate effectively, have strong organizational skills, and be self-motivated
- Hold an ASP Construction safety card
- Hold a valid driver's licence and be able to travel throughout the province
- Current workplace first aid training is an asset
- Hydro-Québec CDST – Stations and Power Plants training is an asset
- Ability to communicate in English is an asset
