Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical studies of various scales
- Interact with senior engineers in executing more complex geotechnical projects
- Participate in administrative project management
- Prepare professional service proposals
- Perform geotechnical engineering calculations (bearing capacity, settlements, slope stability, pavement, soil liquefaction, numerical modeling, etc.)
- Draft technical reports
- Collaborate with other departments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, mining engineering, or another relevant field
- Master’s or Ph.D. in geotechnics is an asset
- Member or eligible for registration with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- More than 8 years of relevant experience in the field
- Hold an ASP Construction safety card
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Strong command of spoken and written French
- Proficiency in English (an asset)
- Ability to work independently
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite and commonly used geotechnical software
