About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct geotechnical studies of various scales
  • Interact with senior engineers in executing more complex geotechnical projects
  • Participate in administrative project management
  • Prepare professional service proposals
  • Perform geotechnical engineering calculations (bearing capacity, settlements, slope stability, pavement, soil liquefaction, numerical modeling, etc.)
  • Draft technical reports
  • Collaborate with other departments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, mining engineering, or another relevant field
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in geotechnics is an asset
  • Member or eligible for registration with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • More than 8 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Hold an ASP Construction safety card
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Strong command of spoken and written French
  • Proficiency in English (an asset)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite and commonly used geotechnical software
