About the role
- Senior Geotechnical Engineer focused on diverse geotechnical projects and team management in an engineering firm. Contributing to significant local and international infrastructure initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for carrying out geotechnical study projects of various scales
- Supervise and train junior and intermediate engineers
- Participate in the administrative management of projects and associated personnel
- Prepare proposals for professional services
- Review and perform geotechnical engineering calculations (bearing capacity, settlements, slope stability, pavement, soil liquefaction, numerical modeling, etc.)
- Review technical reports and draft them when necessary
- Collaborate actively with other departments to maintain existing synergy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, geological, mining engineering, or another relevant field
- Master’s or Ph.D. in geotechnics is an asset
- More than 15 years of relevant experience in the field
- Possess an ASP Construction card
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Excellent spoken and written French
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work independently
- Good knowledge of MS Office Suite and software commonly used in geotechnics
