Responsibilities
- Prepare the conceptual and detailed design of transmission line projects
- Review transmission line design requirements
- Guide assigned discipline engineers
- Draft the line route selection report and specifications
- Coordinate work with the internal engineering team and the client
- Verify calculations performed by other engineers
- Supervise the work of technicians and drafters assigned to projects
- Provide construction support and resolve on-site issues
Requirements
- Degree in electrical, mechanical, or civil/structural engineering from a recognized institution
- Registered member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in transmission and distribution line design
- Essential knowledge of PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER and PLS-POLE software
- Excellent communication skills in French (written and spoken); English as a second language is an asset
