About the role

  • Join the Building Structure team at EXP, focusing on innovation, mentorship, and technical challenges in engineering projects. Located in Québec, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and production of structural plans and specifications for buildings (steel, concrete and timber), in accordance with the Building Code, applicable standards and project guidelines.
  • Attend client meetings to propose solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Conduct surveys of existing installations.
  • Perform studies, design calculations and technical modeling.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Conduct site visits and take part in certain stages of construction supervision.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to develop your skills and ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Perform any other duties related to the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (building engineering, civil engineering or other equivalent qualification).
  • Hold the title of Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or be in the process of obtaining licensure with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Relevant experience in building structures (consulting engineering, internship or employment) is a strong asset. Recent graduates and early-career candidates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
